Description
Aquavitro Plant Aquasolum is a lightweight and porous substrate made from humic substances and minerals. It is ideal for planted aquariums and shrimp nano-aquariums as it contains humate which can help increase the uptake of micro nutrients. This substrate can also lower the pH of alkaline water. It is made up of ingredients such as leonardite, rhyolite, biotite, quartz, feldspar, obsidian, and amphibole. It contains 1.12% Humic Acid from leonardite and may require rinsing before use. To determine the amount needed for your aquarium, each 2kg bag occupies approximately 1,630 cm3. When adding water, it is recommended to fill slowly and use a bowl to avoid disturbing the substrate bed. Initial cloudiness is normal and can be removed with mechanical filtration or Seachem Clarity. The size of the bag is 2kg.

Although it is pre-washed, it may become dusty in transit and require rinsing before use to remove any residual dust. To determine the number of bags required for your aquarium, please note that each bag (2 kg, 4.4 lbs) occupies a volume of approximately 1,630 cm3 (100 cu. in.). To determine your desired volume multiply tank width by length by desired depth.
TIPS: When adding water to aquarium, fill slowly to avoid disturbing aquasolum bed. Place a bowl in the aquarium and add water directly to the bowl, allowing water to overflow softly on to the substrate bed. Initial cloudiness is normal. To remove cloudiness, use mechanical filtration (such as filter floss). Use Seachem Clarity to accelerate clearing.
